The Club Natació Rubí was founded in 1971 and immediately achieved great success with the public.

With more than 6,000 members and 200 athletes registered with a federation, the Club is still the most important sports club in Rubí today.

Over the years, CN Rubí has established itself mainly in three disciplines (swimming, water polo and triathlon) and has contributed high-calibre athletes to international events and competitions with such as the London 2012 Olympic Games, the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, the European Water Polo Championships in 2018 and the Under20 World Swimming Championships in Funchal (Portugal) in 2018.

The Club Natació Rubí is a non-profit public benefit organisation. All earnings are reinvested in the improvement of facilities, the services offered and the promotion of sport in the city.

Last January 2023, the company Instal.lacions i Muntatges Lara, S.L.U. was asked to upgrade the building’s old heating, plumbing and cold water system to optimise its management and energy efficiency.

The firm thus implemented a project based on the Microflex® UNO and DUO flexible pre-insulated piping system for central heating and cooling, and for the transport of water in the plumbing and drainage systems.

Microflex^® UNO and DUO, in particular, are pre-insulated flexible pipes with a single inner tube made of PEX-a SDR11 and anti-oxygen barrier (DIN 4726) for fluids with a temperature from -10°C to 95°C and pressures up to 6 bar. The multilayer thermal insulation is made of CFC-free expanded PEX cross-linked polyethylene with a closed-cell structure, while the outer casing is double-wall and made of PE-HD high-density polyethylene.

The Installer’s experience
